Moscow was a revelation! My conception of a cold communist era ambiance was quickly dispelled when I ventured into the Metro. It was adorned with chandeliers, marble statutes and paintings...all spotlessly maintained. The museums were splendid with their awesome collections. The sign of changed times was right across the famed Red Square where a skimpily clad Madonna was cavorting in the billboard!! But the most unforgettable experience was watching the ballet...ethereal it was!
